Precision Machine Tech

The machining industry is one of the highest paying industries in the U.S. today and has a high demand for skilled workers.  As a machinist, the student will learn how to read blueprints and use machine tools to shape metal to precise dimensions.  The student will apply knowledge of machine operations, metal properties, layout, precision measurement tools, and machining procedures to create machine parts.  Students will become familiar with operations on lathes, grinders, and milling machines.  They will also learn to program CNC machines using MasterCam Software.
