Day 4 (Thursday) of the Genesis Pathways Summer Camps 2023 continued with the Explore Construction Careers. The campers had hands on experience in Construction, Building Trades and Electrical Trades. The campers learned about different pieces of heavy equipment and how to operate it, wiring up a light bulb and they built their own bird houses. It was a very busy and fun filled day for the campers! Day 3 (Wednesday) of the Genesis Pathways Summer Camps 2023 continued with the Explore Welding Careers. The campers were able to get hands on doing some MIG welding, metal grinding, and learning all of the safety equipment worn for the job. We believe it SPARKED much interest in the welding career path for many of the campers! Day 2 (Tuesday) of Summer Camp 2023 continued with the Explore Public Safety! The campers were able to check out not only the job demands of Law Enforcement and Firefighters, but the equipment as well! The campers were able to try on the firefighter gear, spray the fire hose, explore a conservation officers boat, learn about the K-9 unit, and even watch a medical helicopter land!
